A portal is opening deep under the London city streets at Immersive LDN, the chronology is being ripped to pieces, and the human world as we know it is on the verge of being thrown out of balance. Doctor Who: Time Fracture is a brand-new live, interactive theatre production that has been branded a "groundbreaking immersive theatrical experience." This innovative immersive experience will immerse you in a tale set during the Blitz attacks of the 1940s, finally propelling you ahead into a cosmic journey spanning space and time and spanning two time eras.

Doctor Who Time Fracture is a collaboration between BBC Studios and Immersive Everywhere, the company behind The Great Gatsby, the UK's most popular and longest-running immersive performance of all time. Tom Maller (Secret Cinema's Casino Royale, 28 Days Later, Blade Runner) directed it, and it incorporates a new story arc written by Daniel Dingsdale (Dark Tourism), production design by Rebecca Brower, and the Immersive Everywhere creative team.

The Police Box

It was intriguing and well-done, in my opinion. You didn't have to be a Doctor Who fan or even know anything about the show to enjoy it. The actors' performance, scene design, and costumes, particularly the masks worn by some characters, such as the Daleks, were all well done and outstanding. We got to meet the Daleks' leader, which was fantastic. I was gazing at him, trying to figure out whether it was makeup and thinking that if it was, then it must have taken a long time to do since the prosthetics are so accurate. Finally, I was able to get a good look at it, and it turned out to be a mask. Because it was so nicely done, it was difficult to tell.

The plot was adequate; it wasn't spectacular, but it was engaging and amusing.
Although they didn't make a big effort arranging everyone from each group traveling to different rooms, you could have missed seeing some of the characters if you weren't moving around on your own. However, because there are many bits of dialogue going on simultaneously, you will undoubtedly miss some details. Furthermore, only those who were close to the stage could view the performance, and there was no place to sit.

On the other hand, I did watch the part when they had Queen Elizabeth and had several suitors, and I thought it was a pretty fantastic skit. And the only thing I didn't enjoy about it was when they took us to a pub and had some singing entertainment that was intended to be Doctor Who-related, but I thought it to be a little demeaning, to be honest. By taking a drink break and listening to music, it was a cheap and transparent attempt to squeeze more money out of people. That wasn't very great. That would have been more appropriate towards the conclusion of the immersive experience, but they don't want people to leave without buying drinks. I felt that putting it in the middle of the event put unnecessary pressure on the audience and detracted from the overall tone. I believe that because of that drink, numerous people got bored and were ready to leave.

Overall, it was okay; I'd give it a rating of 3 stars out of 5. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars if there weren't a drink break in the middle. It would have been much better if they worked the constantly open bar and were ready to have some drinks rather than having a forced interval. However, in general, it's well-acted, well-designed, and has some fantastic costumes, so it's still worth seeing even if you're not a Doctor Who fan.

I believe that a Doctor Who experience at a secret cinema would be far superior to what they present. However, they presented an excellent beginning point for a one-of-a-kind cinema experience. There has been more of this immersive experience sprouting up in London on various themes, television series, literature, plays, and other things. They've typically been excellent, and if you can get a ticket at a reasonable price, they're a fun night out.
