After all those years apart, they're finally Together Again, Again! Jinkx Monsoon, the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race, and Major Scales, the musical prodigy, return to the UK with their most provocative, scandalous, and blasphemous show yet.
Jinkx Monsoon & Major Scales: Together Again, Again ran till April 23rd 2022 at Leicester Square Theatre. Aside from that, they’ve been on a UK tour since April 27th which is scheduled to end on June 11th.
After a 45-year break, the iconic duo is still clinging to whatever sliver of fame they still have. Jinkx has faded into obscurity in the music industry, while Major has become a TV movie starlet. He has the tunes, and she has the vocals. They're still standing, and their grudges are still there. After all those years apart, they're finally back together for another spectacular evening of music, comedy, and hilarious antics in Together Again, Again.
This iconic show, set in 2065, looks into a future world where aliens have taken over. That idea will either make you chuckle or make you grimace, and your enjoyment of the show will be based on your reaction throughout the show. Specifically, amidst many jokes, one of them showed doctored and photoshopped images of some of the drag racers and how they would look in the future, and it was pretty entertaining. Everyone, gay or straight, leaves this show with their sides aching from laughter.
They had an interesting song selection and live piano music, as well as amusing humor songs that they would sing together and include gags throughout. They also included prerecorded skits that were also extremely amusing.
The show is hilarious and heartfelt, with fantastic original music that leaves you wanting more. While it is only a one-act show, Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales have once again proven that they are an unstoppable force on stage, with Jinkx proving that she is the undisputed Queen of Cabaret. She is, without a doubt, one of the most gifted performers in the entertainment industry. No other person of the same talent is as capable as she is.
Overall, It was a joy to see them reunited after a fantastic night of fun and laughter. It is indeed such an amazing show!
