Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium been charming London visitors since 2014. It is a one-of-a-kind cat café where customers can escape the stresses of everyday life while being surrounded by calm, happy cats, giving them the feeling of being transported to Wonderland. At Lady Dinah's, you can forget about the outside world and take a well-deserved break from reality..
Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium is the UK's oldest cat café. They have been serving tea and cake with rescued cats. The café hopes to bring people together through their mutual love of cats. The owner's ambition when the Emporium was only a gleam in her eye was to create a haven for relaxation in the midst of a hectic metropolis. The Lady Dinah's was founded because the owner believes that cat companionship has healing properties.
What would a "cat paradise" be without cats? The adorable cats have always been a highlight of both working at and visiting Lady Dinah's.The owner has taken in more than forty rescued animals majority of them are from the shelter.
As a cat lover, simply sipping a hot beverage while seeing a cat's joyful face may be incredibly calming during difficult times. When you're taking care of a little colony of these amazing animals, there are never any boring moments! It was a pleasure to spend time among their collection of well-cared-for cats during my visit.
The price for a one-hour visit is £16.50 per person for 90 minutes. The price does not include food and drink. The Cat Emporium has a 12-year-old minimum entry age and a 6-person maximum group size, which are the two most crucial things to know. Furthermore, customers are welcome to pet and play with the cats, but they are not permitted to pick them up and hold them. It is critical that the cats have freedom of movement since they will avoid people, if they are constantly restrained against their choice. The café is also strict about what the cats consume since they have a controlled diet. As such, bringing cat treats is not allowed.
It is the first cat café that I’ve ever been to. Given the little sandwiches, sweets, and tarts that were served, the tea was quite decent, perhaps average for a high tea. We had a wonderful interaction with a few cats that enjoyed playing with us.
