A chance to see ERDEM's art collection, which includes pieces by Andy Warhol, Jean Cocteau, and Kaye Donachie, as well as the ERDEM X de Gournay hand-painted wallpaper, came up on May 12th this year. Guests were given the opportunity to taste and learn about the artistry behind ERDEM's products during the event, which was held at ERDEM's main shop to honor London Craft Week 2022.
ERDEM is a London-based independent house of strong fashion for ladies and men. The company, which was founded in 2005 by designer Erdem Moralioglu MBE, has carved out its own niche in the business. Erdem's universe is an amazing mix of strength and beauty, both poetic and rigorous, ageless and timeless, strong and adaptable.
ERDEM believes in the strength and expertise of craftsmanship. With precision, artistry, and the captivating agility of the handmade, the mind and hand work together to bring fantasy to life. Furthermore, their collections are built around a story, highlighting remarkable women (and increasingly men) in a certain location and period. Erdem's clothes are theatrical, evocative, and expressive in the service of emotion: what counts is how they feel, not what they wear.
Along the Mount Street where the shop is located, this garden is a public park located off Mount Street in London's Mayfair neighborhood. The Mount Field, which includes a fortress dating back to the English Civil War dubbed Oliver's Mount, was established in 1889 out of a former burial cemetery of St George's, Hanover Square.
The gardens themselves have evolved over the last one and a half centuries.
They've turned into a picturesque London park, complete with trees from North and South East China and a variety of breeding birds, including great tits, robins, blackbirds, magpies, and goldcrests, to mention a few. The ideal location for escaping the city and immersing yourself in a good book.
