Musicals by Candlelight was a great even that proved to be the perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of London life to relax with classical versions of musical theatre tunes. The events took place in London beginning on April 20 until May 19, 2022 at the Actor's Church, a small facility in Covent Garden with historical links to the West End dating back to the 1600s.
In a serene setting, the musical theatre series honored the magic of musicals.
The performance was perfect to sit back, relax, and enjoy as a live string quartet performed some of the world's most renowned musical theatre masterpieces by the world's best musical theatre composers in the heart of London's West End.
Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers & Hammerstein, and others performed the classic musical creations during the 60-minute candlelight performances. Songs from Wicked, The Sound of Music, The King and I, Cats, and perhaps a few Disney tunes were also played.
There was a bar inside the venue that provided both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Customers who bought a ticket that included a glass of prosecco could redeem it at the bar. Food was not allowed inside the venue however.
Featuring an extraordinary repertoire of songs from shows such as Les Miserables, West Side Story and My Fair Lady among others, Musicals by Candlelight certainly proved to be a great way to unwind in an intimate environment with an evening of the utmost tranquility and harmony accompanied by candlelight music.
