This isn't just about the dead. It is also about how these symbolic blooms were used to convey complex emotions and messages—the enchanting language of flowers that captivated the Victorians. Participants learned about the meanings behind different flowers and how they were used to convey messages in Victorian times. They also learned about the cultural and historical contexts that gave rise to these meanings and how they reflect the values and beliefs of the time. From the humble daisy to the elegant rose, each flower holds a special meaning, and we'll delve into the stories and symbolism behind them.
